About the Origin:
Fikremariam Dimtu Hambela Wamena, is situated in the Oromia region, specifically in the West Guji zone within the Hambela Wamena woreda. This coffee production site, known as the Deri Site, spans 1.7 hectares and boasts a yearly production of 500,000 to 700,000 kilograms of cherry.
The coffee preparation method employed is unwashed or natural, and the soil type is characterized as black loom soil.
The Deri site is adorned with shade trees like Birbira, Wanza, Zegeba, Kerero, Grawa, and Bisana.
It is also home to various wildlife species, including gureza, hyenas, apes, kebero, dikula, and rabbits.
Brew ratios:
- Filter / Pour Over: 1:15 (1gram of coffee for 15 grams of water - or 30g of coffee for 450g of water)
- Espresso: 19g in / 40 - 42g out, around 30 seconds
